Hi All,

For anyone interested in the club trip to Black Cockatoo over the June long Weekend you can make your own bookings direct with the campground.

Contact Lorry at blackcockatoobushcamp@hotmail.com  and let her know you are a Rangers member. Email is her preferred method for making a booking but if for some reason you need to phone her you can try 08 8762 1612. She is quite often out and about so may not be able to take your call immediately.

Cost for the weekend is $8 per adult per night camping and $30 for the weekend if you wish to drive on the 4WD track. Children under 12 are $5 per night and under 3 are free.

I would encourage all members who want to build up confidence in their driving to attend this weekend. Although it is not an official training weekend the layout of the driving track and its close proximity to the camping area (about 50mtrs) make it a great place to have someone in your car, or walking along beside you, to help talk you through.

Tom Doody and I are leaving Saturday morning 9th May from the truck stop on the freeway which is about 7.5 Km from Mount Barker freeway interchange, at 7am sharp. If you wish to travel with us you are more than welcome to meet us at the truck stop or else we will see you there.
